McWindows

Another new territory for Windows to explore, the Mac users. They have been the elusive market who were religiously attached to the apple softwares and machines. Windows somehow found its way when they decided to bring in the Intel processor. Apple has recently released the Boot Camp software which allows a mac user to switch between the Mac OSX and Windows operating system at startup (boot loader). Now this exclusive club is faced with the lure of windows, which according to them, is not as seductive and just a cheap knock-off.

But that is a thing of the past. Windows may have taken its inspiration from apple's operating system in the beginning but it has come so far with its own long line-up of innovations and improvements. No wonder Windows has been able to capture such a great market because it has offered unmatched simplicity and ease of use, great interface with consistency and unbeatable integration within its applications. Not to mention the availability and price of a PC.

People may hold all kinds of ill feelings for Microsoft because of its child-like non-competitive behaviour. But no one can deny its success. The child-like curiosity, enthusiasm and simplicity of approach has made its products what they are. Now don't say buggy. That's just a price paid for user ease. The success of Windows is not an illusion, its a reality which should be accepted.

Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world. Unreasonable people attempt to adapt the world to themselves, therefore all progress depends on unreasonable people.
